Russian coal exports up 20.1% in 2012, to 125.702m tons

Coal exports from Russia in 2012 increased by 20.1% (21.046 million tons) year-over-year to 125.702 million tons, the Ministry of Energy of Russia said.

Russian coal exports in December 2012 rose 32.3% (2.752 million tonnes) from a year earlier to 11.26 million tons.

Coal production in December 2012 fell 1.2% (385,500 tons) to 31.5 million tons, including 28.99 million tons of supplied coal.
