Malaysia-based Alam Maritim was awarded a contract by Petronas Carigali to provide six marine vessels for a sum of about MYR576m ($191.2m), inclusive of options, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The firm five-year contract has taken effect from 1 January 2013 and will stretch to 31 December 2017, Kuala Lumpur-listed Alam Maritim announced on Tuesday.
Details on the specific types of vessels and their deployment were not revealed.
