Nakhodka stevedores’ throughput up 11% to 59.7 mln t in 2012

The total volume of cargo handled by Nakhodka stevedoring companies in 2012 amounted to 59.7 mln t, a 11-pct gain, year-on-year, press center of Nakhodka administration reports.

According to the economic department of Nakhodka administration, over 92% of cargo was handled by the following large stevedoring companies – Vostochny Port OJSC, Spetsmornefteport Kozmino LLC, EVRAZ NMTP OJSC, Nefteport LLC RN-Nakhodkanefteproduct, VSK LLC, Maly port LLC. 

In the reported period, Nakhodka stevedores handled over 44% of cargo in the Far East and some 11% in Russia as a whole.  

As forecasted for 2013, Nakhodka throughput will continue its growth due to modernization of the existing transport infrastructure and launch of new transshipment facilities.
