Qinzhou Port launches new box shipping line to Hong Kong

Qinzhou Port, which is a major port in southwestern China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, has started a new regular container shipping service to Hong Kong, Xinhua reported.
The line is jointly operated by China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), Shenzhen's Hercules Logistics Co., Ltd., Hong Kong's Ever Harvest Shipping Limited and Konfill Shipping Co., Ltd., offering five sailings per week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Before launch of the new line, the port offered only one sailing to Hong Kong per week. Now with the new service, the cost of time for transporting cargo from Qinzhou to Hong Kong has been cut down to 1.4 days from a previous 8 to 10 days, said the report.
