Throughput of port Vanino up 15.4% to 7.4 mln t in Jan-Apr’13
In January-April, 2013, Vanino port handled 7.4 mln t of cargo (+15.4%, year-on-year), says press center of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Port Vanino is Russia’s seaport of federal importance located in the deepwater Vanino Bay (Khabarovsk region). The port’s major stevedoring company - Vanino Commercial Seaport OJSC is the largest stevedoring company of Khabarovsk region. It provides handling and forwarding services. Cargo is delivered via Vanino to the north-eastern regions of Russia, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, USA and other countries of APR. In 2012, the port’s throughput increased by 6.5% to 20.3 mln t, ACSP says.
