Cargo transportation of Russian Railways up 2.9% in 11M06

In the 11-month period Russian Railways transported 1.2 billion tons of cargo (+2.9% against year-on-year result, RBC reports. Transshipment of coal totaled 260 million 864 thou tons (+3.1%), coke - 10 million 310 thou tons (- 0.5%); oil and oil products - 207 million 906 thou tons (+4.6%); iron and manganeze ore - 99 million 200 thou tons (+7.1%); ferrous metal - 72 million 819 thou tons (+9.9%); ferrous metal scrap - 24 million 395 thou tons (+1.3%); chemical and mineral fertilizers - 39 million 5 thou tons (-0.3%); cement - 35 million 413 thou tons (+10.6%); timber - 59 million 73 thou tons (+1%); grain and grain products - 20 million 123 thou tons (+0.1%), construction cargo - 187 million 512 thou tons (-2.8%).
