Throughput of Neva-Metall CJSC (Spb) up 16% to 752,400 t in Jan-May 09

In January-May 2009, Neva-Metall CJSC (St. Petersburg) handled 752,400 tonnes of cargo (+16%, year-on-year), PortNews IAA learnt from Mikhail Panov, Director General of the stevedoring company. According to the source, the company’s container throughput almost tripled to 15,900 TEU due to growing containerization of ferrous metal to 500-700 containers per month.

 

Stevedoring company Neva-Metall CJSC was founded in 1995. Today it is a part of Severstal Rossiyskaya Stal. The company handles ferrous metal and containers. In 2008, the company handled 1.9 million tonnes of cargo. EBITDA totaled $8.8 mln.
