In January-May 2009, Neva-Metall CJSC (St. Petersburg) handled 752,400 tonnes of cargo (+16%, year-on-year), PortNews IAA learnt from Mikhail Panov, Director General of the stevedoring company. According to the source, the company’s container throughput almost tripled to 15,900 TEU due to growing containerization of ferrous metal to 500-700 containers per month.
