In January 2014, the loading at the network of Russian Railways OJSC totaled 96.3 mln t (+1.2%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
The company’s cargo turnover was 7.1% up to 191 bln tariff t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run made 247.6 bln tariff t-km (+9.1%).
In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 26.9 mln t of coal (+0.6%, year-on-year); 0.964 mln t of coal (-5.9%); 22.5 mln t of crude and oil product (+2.7%); 8.9 mln t of iron and manganese ore (+4%); 5.7 mln t of iron ore (-3.8%); 0.684 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (+2.8%); 4.4 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+14.7%); 1.5 mln t of cement (-8.1%); 2.8 mln t of timber (+10.2%); 0.995 mln t of grain (+40.3%); 8.8 mln t of construction materials (-9.2%); 1.6 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-5.7%); 2.3 mln t of chemicals and soda (-0.5%); 2.4 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (+12.6%).
