Maersk Line most reliable again in Drewry report

Maersk Line remains the most reliable carrier amid ship reliability being at a nine-quarter low across the industry, according to the Carrier Performance Insight published by Drewry for Q4, the company said in its press release.

Maersk Line led the pack with an on-time performance score of 80.1%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the third quarter. Only seven other carriers improved their all-trade reliability, with weaker performances from 19 other major carriers bringing down the Q4 overall score to 63.8% (down 5.3 percentage points from Q3).

Maersk Line also comes out ahead in the Asia/Europe/Mediterranean (89.9%) and transpacific (83.8%) trades. Starting this year, Maersk Line will use the SeaIntel database as its reliability measurement benchmark.
