Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port down 2.5 times to 276,200 t in Jan'14

In January 2014, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC handled 276,200 t of cargo (down 2.5 times), the company says.

In the reported period, export fell 2.2 times to 199,800 t including 199,800 t of dry cargo (down 1.8 times) and 162,900 t of general cargo (down 1.8 times). Transshipment of import cargo plunged 3.4 times to 76,400 t. The company’s container throughput dropped 1.6 times to 6.368 TEUs.

Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port JSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2013, the company’s throughput hit 4.068 mln t.
