PUL Trans and Russkaya Troyka to cooperate in container transportations to/from port Ust-Luga

PUL Trans OJSC and Russkaya Troyka CJSC have signed an agreement on long-term partnership in the sphere of container transportations to/from port Ust-Luga, says press center of PUL Trans.

The parties have agreed to pay special attention to the development of specific services for container market players and creation of a common information space as well as to promotion of new container services and technologies. 

Russkaya Troyka operates at port Ust-Luga from last summer. In September, two container trains were formed for regular servicing of import flows. In 2013, they carried over 2,500 TEUs. Two more projects are under development, one of them will be launched in the nearest future. It is supposed to boost container flows, both import and export ones. 

Ust-Luga Container Terminal and multi-purpose transshipment complex Yug-2 handle containers at port Ust-Luga today. 

Port Ust-Luga Transportation Company (PUL Trans OJSC) was established in 2007 to provide transport services at the approach railways of Ust-Luga port by Russian Railways OJSC (50%) and Company Ust-Luga OJSC (50%). In 2013, the port's railway throughput hit 38.2 mln t.

Russkaya Troyka CJSC was established in 2004 by Russian Railways and Far-Eastern Shipping Company (subsidiary of FESCO Transport Group). The company is a large railway operator in the segment of container transportation. In 2013, it carried 134,876 TEUs.
