Andrei Yakovlev appointed as Director General of Yenisei River Shipping Company (photo)
As Aleksandr Ivanov, Director General of Yenisei River Shipping Company (YRSC OJSC) was appointed as the Director of Krasnoyarsk transport branch of Norilsk Nickel OJSC, the Board of Directors of the company approved the appointment of Andrei Yakovlev as the new Director General of YRSC OJSC.
Before the appointment Andrei Yakovlev was the first deputy to YRSC Director General.
Andrei Yakovlev was born in 1965 in Irkutsk region. He is a graduate of Novosibirsk Institute of Water Transport Engineers with a specialization in Marine Engines and Mechanisms.
He has been holding difficult positions at Yenisei River Shipping Company from 1994.
From 2006 – first deputy to YRSC Director General.
Yenisei River Shipping Company was established as a state enterprise in 1931, incorporated in 1994 году. YRSC is the main carrier of cargo along the water routes of the Yenisei Basin. The company’s fleet numbers some 650 vessels with total capacity of about 680,000 t. The company has shipbuilding and ship repair assets and a number of other business units. Major customer and the controlling shareholder of the company is Norilsk Nickel OJSC. In 2012, YRSC carried 3.401 mln t of cargo.
