Trinity Bay Port LLC (Zarubino, Primorsk Territory) is ready to accept and handle both universal and refrigerated containers to/from the railway transport with its further dispatch to other regions of Russia, IAA PortNews learnt from the company.
Trinity Bay Port LLC has obtained the permit to handle containerized cargoes from January 23, 2014 via railway station Sukhanovka (Far East Railway, Vladivostok Branch of Russian Railways OJSC).
Port railway station Sukhanovka is located 11 km off port Zarubino.
Advantageous geographic location of Trinity Bay Port, its vast territory, 300-TEU container ground, 45-tonne handling equipment enable the company to perform high-speed handling of containerized cargo avoiding downtime problems.
Refrigerator complex of the Port with total capacity of 12,000 t lets it transship fish products to any transport. Road transport is currently used for fish transportation to Hunchun (China) located just 60 km from the port. With the railway station Sukhanovka allowed to handle containerized cargo, the port can arrange shipments of fish products in refrigerated containers to any point of the country.
Trinity Bay Port LLC is going to develop shipment of containerized cargo by railway from China to South Korea, Japan and backwards. It will become possible when railway checkpoint Malakhino is put into operation upon completion of its reconstruction. The checkpoint is located only 50 km from the port. Railway shipments in this direction will be most time and cost efficient for containerized cargo.
