The rates of charges for vessels using the infrastructure of inland water ways and serviced at river ports by the FSI Volga-Baltic Basin Administration are to be raised. According to the draft document, the above rates were increased in 2013 by 13% according to the recommendations and by the order of the Federal Tariff Service of Russia as of November 3, 2013. Meanwhile, the materials provided suggest that the company will be able to reach breakeven level with the rates increase by 18%.
In 2013, the deficit of resources for providing services related to the use of IWW infrastructure at Volga-Baltic Waterway totaled RUB 84.2 mln. 10-pct increase of regulated rates is supposed to decrease the deficit in 2014.
