Navis launches Optimization Services

The trend towards larger vessels and the resulting increase in cargo directly challenges the terminal operations industry to ensure that they are able to optimize operations for maximum efficiency. As a result and in response to growing customer needs, Navis has launched Navis Optimization Services (NOS) a global consulting practice within Navis Professional Services, the company said in its press release.

“Optimization software automates complex operational decisions, delivering significant ROI and operational productivity improvements,” said Frederik Stork, Director, Optimization Services at Navis. “Optimization Services is Navis’ response to our customers’ need for an integrated delivery of TOS implementation, optimization module configuration and the improvement of associated operational processes.”

NOS include:

End-to-end implementation of Navis optimization modules, including proper business process and data analysis, followed by repetitive configuration, testing, and tuning of the optimization modules, followed by user enablement and go-live support
A ‘tune-up’ of an existing implementation of optimization modules to adapt to change occurring at terminals
An implementation of a custom optimization module to address terminal-specific situations

“Navis customers who utilize our Optimization Services will have access to the resources and support necessary to configure and implement Navis Optimization Modules,” said Scott Fleming, VP Performance and Analytics for Navis.
