80 ships involved in operational readiness test in Russia
80 ships and vessels will be involved within the framework of the operational readiness test in the Western and Central military districts of Russia, RF Defence Ministry says.
By the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, RF Defence Ministry embarked on full-scope operational readiness test at the Western military district, Second Army of the Central military district and the command of the airborne forces, starting from February 26, 2014.
The fighting formations have commenced large-scale dislocation to the assigned area.
The regions and the tasks will be announced by the officers of the General Staff of RF Armed Forces upon opening of the corresponding packages.
The test will involve some 150,000 of military personnel of the Armed Forces, 90 aircrafts, over 120 helicopters, up to 880 tanks, over 1,200 units of military equipment and up to 80 ships and vessels.
