High-speed craft service launched to link mainland Russia and the Crimea

On May 1 two catamarans "Sochi-1" and "Sochi-2" of capacity of 300 passengers began sailing between mainland Russia and the Crimea, the Unified Transport Directorate said adding the high-speed crafts will be servicing the route Port Kavkaz – Port Kerch – Port Kavkaz and Port Anapa - Port Kerch - Port Anapa.

The Port Anapa - Port Kerch passenger service will be daily with four voyages and eight voyages on the Port Kavkaz - Port Kerch route. The two catamaran services are expected to transport daily more than 3500 people.
