SITC container lines Co., Ltd as a subsidiary to SITC International Holdings Co., Ltd, and Shanghai Hai Hua Shipping Co., Ltd (HASCO) as a subsidiary to Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., LTD signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 6th May 2014 at Shanghai, the company said in its press release.
Based on the great cooperation relationship between two parties during past years, in the principle of resources sharing, advantages complemented, mutual benefit, common development, through capacity combined, slot exchange, and joint service, SITC and HASCO will set up the alliance of Shanghai/Taicang -- Japan Kanto/Kansai/Kyushu liner service, explore and develop new market in Asia area together, optimize and strengthen the service network constantly, improve service quality and efficiency.
From 9th May 2014, SITC and HASCO will start the first phase cooperation, covering two Shanghai/Taicang -- Kanto service, five Shanghai/Taicang -- Kansai service, three Shanghai/Taicang -- Kyushu service, totally deploy eleven vessels, in order to provide customers with higher frequency, more punctual, better quality liner service.
The strategic cooperation agreement is both sides’ benefit to cope with the challenge and opportunity that caused by the change of market competition structure, and to promote win-win cooperation, enhances both competitiveness and power of influence effectively in Intra-Asia area.
