Rosterminalugol named again General Partner of Ust-Luga Cup-2014

Leningrad region based Rosterminalugol was chosen as General Partner of Ust-Luga Cup-2014 regatta. This is the third time the largest in the Northwest Russian marine coal terminal operator will be providing sponsorship to the event.

The terminal demonstrates sustainable growth - by the 2013 year-end results the facility's throughput reached 14.7 million tonnes. Beside organizational support Rosterminalugol's team consisting of the company's employees participate in the regatta. In the Ust-Luga Cup-2012, the team of Rosterminalugol won the first place award. Last year the terminal's team came second and was awarded silver medal.

Rosterminalugol is the first terminal that commenced handling operations in the port of Ust -Luga eleven years ago. Therefore, the company seeks to be a leader in Ust-Luga Cup as well, and the fact is acknowledged by the organizing committee. Rosterminalugol is not just a partner, it is one of the most active participants in the Ust-Luga Cup,” says Alexander Aliyev CEO of independent NPO Baltic Ust-Luga Cup Regatta.

About Ust-Luga Cup

The Ust-Luga Cup project is supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Russian Sailing Federation.
For the first time Ust-Luga Cup regatta was held in June 2012 and was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Ust-Luga Commercial Sea Port. The successful regatta was a significant event not only for the international sailing world, but for business and media community as well. Following the regatta success and thanks to the great interest to further development of the project both in Russia and abroad, it was decided to hold the Ust-Luga Cup regatta annually.

Ust-Luga Cup 2014 will be held from June 1 till June 11, 2014. The regatta will follow the former route: from Stockholm (Sweden) till Saint-Petersburg (Russia) via Mariehamn (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia). The participants and the guests will moor in beautiful places at picturesque islands of Sweden and Finland, visit a bright final show with a parade of sails at the Neva river and the award ceremony at the walls of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
