In January-March of 2014 OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (“SP SPb”) transferred 7 mln Rubles for the implementation of the social projects and for training of its personnel, the company’s PR Department says.
The port traditionally supported its employees and their families: the company reimbursed expenses for treatment, sport and vacation of the port workers. The company also transferred funds to support single mothers and the employees of “SP SPb” happened to be in difficult life situations.
During the reporting period within the programme aimed to help veterans the company made traditional quarterly payments to the former workers of the port-members of the Veterans’ Council of “SP SPb”. Besides the company paid bonuses to people celebrating a jubilee and active representatives of the veterans’ organization.
OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (included in UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. It operates by modern specialized terminals for handling of ro-ro cargoes, cars and metals. In 2013 the turnover of OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” amounted to 7.8 mln tons of cargoes.
