President of Summa Group Alexander Vinokurov and Director General of FSUE Rosmorport Andrei Tarasenko have signed a contract on cooperation in implementation of the investment project on construction of transshipment facilities in Zarubino seaport, the Group’s press center says.
Bolshoy Zarubino Port is to be constructed in Primorsk Territory, 18km from the Russian border with China. The port’s turnover will amount to 60 million tons per year (transit, export, import). Project planners anticipate that the port will be used for the transportation of grain, containers, bulk cargo, Ro-Ro units and other goods. Total project investment amounts to over 40 billion RUB. A 100+ ha area has been purchased for the construction of the port.
Summa Group undertakes the construction of the terminals while Rosmorport is to invest into related infrastructure, first of all in hydraulic engineering facilities which will be owned by the enterprise.
