Advanced technical solutions, main trends, innovative technologies and actual processes of the development of the Arctic and shelf will be demonstrated this autumn in St. Petersburg, Russia. International Conference and Exhibition for Maritime Technologies and Offshore Infrastructure Development Offshore Marintec Russia will be held from 7 - 10 October 2014 with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the event organizer said Friday in a press release.
Offshore Marintec Russia is a unique project which will bring together the most important development trends of the marine, transport, energy and technology infrastructure of the continental shelf. The project will continue the best traditions of the forum RAO/CIS Offshore which has been held for more than 20 years in St. Petersburg, and the world-famous network of exhibitions on shipbuilding and marine technologies Marintec.
A highest level of the governmental support determines the importance of the event. The Organizing Committee coordinating preparatory works of the Conference and Exhibition is headed by Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
The industry has showed significant interest in the event with the leading Russian and international oil and gas and maritime companies having applied for the exhibition and conference: Gazprom, Gazflot, United Shipbuilding Corporation, Krylov State Research Center, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and many other companies. Foreign participation will include joint expositions from China, South Korea and other countries.
Offshore Marintec Russia Conference will start its work with a Plenary session on 8 October 2014. The Program committee headed by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Kirill Molodtsov has approved seven conference topics. The main thematic areas of OMR 2014 will be the development of priority projects of Russia's continental shelf, creating a modern fleet, advanced technologies and equipment for the development of offshore energy resources.
