Tyumensudokomplekt CJSC has put into operation new river-sea class refrigerated cargo vessel Polar Star for the fishing industry of the Yamal - Nenets autonomous region, press center of the regional government says.
The Polar Star built under the order of the regional government is equipped with refrigerating chambers for 200 tonnes of goods and blast chillers up to 15 t/day in capacity. The vessel is intended mainly for accumulation of fish caught by fishing companies of Tazovsky district and further transportation to fish processing facilities.
The newbuilding will be the second ship in Yamal region’s fishing fleet. The first vessel, the Num, was delivered in summer 2012. She was also built by Tyumensudokomplekt CJSCunder the order of YNAR government.
Tyumensudokomplekt CJSC established in 1996 is located in Western Siberia. Its major activities are designing, shipbuilding, ship repair, fleet modernization and equipment, production of diesel gear-reduction units, diesel-generators and other shipboard equipment as well as cargo transportation by rivers.
