Low water causes introduction of draught limits at some parts of Russia’s inland water ways
Draught limits have been introduced at some parts of Russia’s inland water ways to ensure safe navigation amid lowering of water level below accepted point, says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.
From August 19, 2014, Lena Basin Authority introduced draught limits for river Lena (from Ichera mouth to Vitim mouth).
From August 18, Sevvodput Authority introduced limits at some parts of river Vologda, Sukhona, Sukhaya Rechka, Severnaya Dvina, Yug, Pinega, Sysola, Vychegda, Kuloi.
