Order on opening of port Sabetta (Yamal) to come into effect in QIII’ 2014

The Order on opening of port Sabetta (Yamal) for rendering of services will come into effect in the third quarter of 2014, says the explanatory note to the draft order of RF Transport Ministry published at the Unified Portal for Legal Information.

Port Sabetta is projected to be a hub for shipment of liquefied natural gas eastwards and westwards by large capacity gas carriers through the Northern Sea Route. The construction is being carried out in the framework of the Yamal LNG project which envisages the construction of an LNG plant with annual capacity of 16.5 million tonnes per annum based on the feedstock resources of the South-Tambeyskoye field.
