High-performance portal crane Aist put into operation at port Vostochny (photo)

Stevedoring company Maly Port LLC (port Vostochny) has put into operation new high-performance portal crane Aist produced by SMM CJSC, machine building company says in its press release.

Individual features of this crane include the increased handling radius (36 meters) and cargo capacity: up to 18 t in grab mode and up to 40 t in hook mode. The crane with 10-cbm clamshell bucket can load 600 - 620 t per hour.

The Aist is the second SMM crane to operate in Vostochny. The first crane with similar characteristics has been operating at the terminal of Vostochny Port OJSC from early 2013.
