In January-September 2014, Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg handled 297,000 TEUs, no changes, year-on-year, the company says in its press release.
In the reported period exports increased by 6% to 150,600 TEUs with loaded containers accounting for 35% (+15%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of imported containers amounted to 146,300 TEUs (-6%, year-on-year) with refrigerated containers accounting for 31.3%.
Export/import ratio was 50.7% and 49.3% respectively.
Over the 9-month period, the terminal handled 156 vessels with average cargo turnover of 1,904 per vessel TEUs.
Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (part of UCL Port, stevedoring division of international transport group UCL Holding) is a container handling complex located in the forth cargo district of Big Port St. Petersburg. It covers the area of 32 hectares and its capacity is 430,000 TEUs. The terminal is focused on handling all types of export / import cargo including refrigerated cargo. In 2013, the Company’s throughput reached 396,400 TEUs.
