Diesel-electric submarine Vyborg of the Baltic Fleet has arrived at her base in Kronshtadt after her technical readiness recovery at FSUE KMZ, press center of the Baltic Fleet’s Western Command says.
The delivery/acceptance certificate was signed on October 24, 2014 by the shipyard representative and the submarine Commander, Captain 2nd Rank Sergey Oleynikov. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Andrey Gushchin, Deputy Commander of the Baltic Fleet, Hero of the Russian Federation.
The Vyborg is a Kilo-class Project 877 submarine designed for anti-shipping and anti-submarine operations, deployment of mines, reconnaissance.
