Throughput of port Singapore up 4.1% to 483.8 mln t in Jan-Oct’14

In January-October 2014, the port of Singapore handled 483.8 mln t of cargo (+4.1%, year-on-year).  According to the Port Authorities, oil transshipment increased by 2.1% to 152.36 mln t, container throughput climbed by 3.6% to 28.1 mln TEUs.

Singapore is a Southeast Asian island city-state. In 2013, container throughput of port Singapore hit 32.58 TEUs, while the port’s total throughput reached 560.88 mln t.
