Amendments introduced into Compulsory Regulations on Ust-Luga seaport
By the order of RF Transport Ministry dated September 30, 2014, amendments have been introduced into Compulsory Regulations on Ust-Luga seaport approved on January 15, 2013, FSUE Rosmorport says in its press release.
The amendments include the abolition of compulsory tugging during mooring operations for vessels with the length of 185 meters and less if they are equipped with a maneuvering device. Besides, the amendments update frequency of VHF channels used by vessels to communicate with vessel tracking management system of Ust-Luga seaport.
In the port of Ust-Luga, North West Basin Branch of FSUE Rosmorport provides navigation services through VTMS of Ust-Luga seaport, integral part of the regional VTMS of the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland. In the 10-month period of 2014 Ust-Luga seaport VTMS dealt with almost 30,000 vessels.
