Gazprom announces that on December 29 it entered into agreements with Eni, Wintershall and EDF on purchasing 50 per cent of total shares in South Stream Transport from them.
The deals with the minority shareholders of South Stream Transport were previously agreed on by the Gazprom Board of Directors.
South Stream Transport (Gazprom holding a 50 per cent stake, Italian Eni – 20 per cent, German Wintershall and French EDF – 15 per cent each respectively) is a joint project company set up to construct the offshore section of the South Stream gas pipeline.
