Berthing infrastructure for mooring of different vessels will be created in Naval Harbour of the Baltic Fleet (Baltijsk, Kaliningrad Region) by the end of 2015, says press center of the Western Military District.
The waterfront overhaul is underway at the Naval Harbour today. The works have been fulfilled at the frontline with the total length of 1,600 m. Besides, 1.5 km of berths are to be repaired this year. The scope of dredging works exceeds 1.3 mln cbm including 300,000 cbm of material which has already been dredged.
The development of power supply systems near their completion at the assembled berth, the construction of new infrastructure facilities (buildings to accommodate fleet headquarters, simulators and classrooms) has begun.
The works involving over 180 specialists and some 50 units of construction machinery are to be completed by the end of 2015.
