Cochin Shipyard launched the thirteenth of the 20 Fast Patrol Vessels (BY 513) being built for Indian Coast Guard, the company said in its press release. The vessel was named ‘ICGS ANMOL’ and launched by Smt Shilpa Agarwal, wife of Shri Rozy Agarwal, IDAS , Integrated Financial Adviser (Southern Naval Command) in a simple ceremony at Cochin Shipyard.
CSL has so far delivered 10 vessels in the 20 vessel series and the eleventh vessel is getting ready for sea trials. The tenth vessel ICGS AMOGH was handed over to the Indian Coast Guard on 9 th Jan 2015.
CSL has so far delivered, 6 ships this year con sisting of 5 Fast Patrol vessels to the Indian Coast Guard and one Offshore Support Vessel to a Norwegian owner. The yard is also constructing the most prestigious warship for the nation viz the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier for the Indian Navy. Having posted one of t he best financial results in the shipbuilding industry, the yard had declared 15% di vidend on its equity shares for the year 2013-14. The yard has been consistently paying divi dend on its shares for the last six consecutive years. The book value of the CSL equity share of Rs 10 was Rs 119 as on 31 March 2014.
