Oil price up to $49.03 in London and up to $47.78 in New York

On January 21, Brent crude for March delivery gained $1.04 to settle at $49.03 per barrel on ICE Futures Europe, Light sweet crude for February delivery climbed by $1.31 to $47.78 on New York Mercantile Exchange.
