LNG plant in the Leningrad Region (Baltic LNG project) will be built near Ust-Luga seaport, press center of Gazprom says. The plant is to produce 10 mln t of LNG per year with a possibility to be expanded to 15 mln t. Gas will be delivered to the plant from Russia’s unified system of gas supply.
A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with regard to implementation of LNG plant project in the Leningrad Region was signed by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad Region on June 21, 2013 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
