The deadlines of the project on creation of a multimodal transport and logistic hub “General-purpose port of Rostov” can be revised because of the federal allocations delay, though the project will remain a priority for the Rostov Region.
As Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev told IAA PortNews journalist, the project implementation has been recently discussed with RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov.
The Governor reminds that the project is to be implemented through both federal financing and private investments.
The project on creation of a multimodal transport and logistic hub “General-purpose port of Rostov” at the plot of land covering up to 400 hectares (industrial port area “Zarechnaya”) provides for the construction of 25 cargo berths with total annual capacity of 16 mln t. The hub is to comprise a container, coal and grain terminals as well as an industrial and logistic parks. The Project is estimated at RUB 24.3 bln including RUB 6.4 bln of federal allocations, RUB 1.2 bln from the regional government and RUB 16.7 bln of private investments. The Project is included into the list of priority investment projects of the Southern Federal District, regional programme “Governor’s 100 Investment Projects” and federal special-purpose programme “Development of Russia’s Transport System (2010-2020)”.
