Head of Suez Canal authority announces accomplishment of 50.8% of new Suez Canal dredging works
Vice admiral Mohab Mameesh, head of Suez Canal authority, has announced today 5th of March accomplishment of 50.8% of new Suez Canal dredging works assuring that number of dredgers currently working in the canal has reached 35 giant dredgers.
Mameesh overviewed the project of developing Suez Canal region together with that of dredging the new canal where he announced fulfillment of 50.8% of dredging works declaring that total dredging has reached 122 million cubic meters pointing out that daily dredging work has exceeded 1.5 million cubic meter which is considered one of the highest global rates.
