Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports down 1.1% to 47.77 mln t in Jan-Apr’15

In January-April 2015, seaports of Ukraine handled 47.77 mln t (-1.1%, year-on-year), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 17.08 mln t (36% of total volume);

Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled  30.696 mln t (64% of total volume) including 16.195 mln t (34% of total volume).

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 32.348 mln t (- 6.8%, year-on-year), import – 6.505 mln t (+ 37.3%), transit – 7.127 mln t (- 18.2%), coastal trade cargo – 1.796 mln t (+1,010%).

 

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 171,980 TEUs (71.8% against January-April 2014).

 

The ports of mainland Ukraine have increased transshipment by 3.3%.
