On May 21, 2015, Ship Repair and Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC (Gorodets, Nizhni Novgorod region) launched a border floating landing stage intended for operation in the Caspian Sea, the company’s Deputy Director Sergei Molodtsov told IAA PortNews. When fitted, it will be delivered to Astrakhan.
The floating landing stage (Project 09662) has the following characteristics: length – 24.8 m, beam – 13.52 m, depth – 3.28 m. Class - PPPМ-ПР 2.0
Border floating landing stage is intended for safeguarding and protection of the state border, internal sea waters and territorial sea of the Russian Federation, temporary accommodation and material support of FSB border authorities’ personnel, support of search and rescue operations; visual and radar monitoring of surface and fishing conditions, temporary accomodation and protection of detained persons.
