Cochin Shipyard launched the sixteenth of the 20 Fast Patrol Vessels (BY 516) being built for Indian Coast Guard. The vessel was named ‘ICGS ARNVESH’, the company said in its press release.
On the occasion R Admiral K Ravikiran, Admiral Superintendent, NSRY also laid th e Keel of BY – 517 the seventeenth FPV for the Indian Coast Guard.
CSL has so far delivered 13 vessels in the 20 ve ssel series and the fourteenth vessel is getting ready for sea trials. The thirteenth vessel IC GS ANMOL was handed over to the Indian Coast Guard on 01 st June 2015 nearly 20 days ahead of the schedule.
