SPB Marin has concluded a contract with OJSC “Yaroslavsky shipyard” for delivery of 12 geared diesel installations based on Scania engines and Twin Disc gearboxes. According to SPB Marin, the engines will be installed on A40-2B project ships being built for Gosmorspassluzhba of Russia (the State Sea Rescue Service of Russia).
As compared with previously built ships of the same project, a number of changes has been introduced in propulsive system of new ships, including the increased power of propulsion engines up to 588 kW (441 kW engines were installed previously), and a new automatic equipment system has been developed on the basis of ComAp processor.
First ships of the new series shall come into operation in 2016.
SPB Marine LLC is engaged in selling, application and after-sales servicing of marine engines and other equipment in Russia and CIS countries. SPB Marine LLC is an official dealer of Scania Company, a distributor of Bukh Company and a service dealer of Twin Disc Company.
For slightly more than 5 years of its operation SPB Marine LLC have signed contracts for delivery of over 80 Scania marine engines, 20 Bukh engines and 50 Twin Disc reduction gears.
The company’s clients are Russia’s largest companies including Norilsk Nickel, Gazprom, Rechvodput, State Marine Emergency Salvage, Rescue and Pollution Prevention Coordination Service of the Russian Federation and the Navy.
Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant (the managing company —CJSC «VP FINSUDPROM») is located in the central part of Russia, on the bank of the river Volga. It is an Open Joint Stock Company since 1993. The company specializes in construction of both civil vessels and warships.
