Mr. Ki-tack Lim, Republic of Korea, has been elected for the IMO Secretary-General post, IMO says.

As IAA PortNews was informed, the election was held in three votings. The Russian candidate dropped out in the second voting. Mr. Ki-tack Lim and Mr. Andreas Nordseth participated in the third voting.
The present incumbent, Mr. Koji Sekimizu, ends his four-year term as Secretary-General on 31 December 2015.
