Sea Port St. Petersburg (MP StPb) in January-June 2015 invested RUB 38.1 million ($ 668,394) in development program, 31,9 million were spent for upgrade of handling equipment fleet and port infrastructure modernization.
In the first six month of the year, the port operator has acquired an accessory for lifting devices, specialized apparatus for handling fertilizers and truck scales for weighing rolling loads. Besides, the company has financed reconstruction of hot and cold water supply facilities, fire fighting automation system at transformer substations. In the reporting period MP StPb spent 6.2 million rubles as lease payments for previously acquired cargo handling equipment.
JSC Sea Port St. Petersburg (part of UCL Port, a stevedoring division of the international transport group UCL Holding) is the largest stevedore offering services for handling all types of dry cargoes in Big Port St. Petersburg. The company operates modern multipurpose terminals for general and bulk cargo, and Ro-Ro dedicated terminals. In 2014, cargo throughput of the company reached 8.1 million tonnes.
