Throughput of Chinese ports up 2.9% to 6.65 bln t in 7M’15

In January-July 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 2.9%, year-on-year, to 6.65 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 4.6 bln t (+2.1%), river ports – 2.04 bln t (+4.7%).

Container throughput climbed 5.8% to 120.67 mln TEUs including 108.16 mln TEUs in seaports (+5.4%) and 12.52 mln TEUs in river ports (+9.9%).
