Russia’s major suppliers of tugboats are Damen, Pella and Craneship, RS says

Russia’s major suppliers of tugboats to the class of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) are Damen, Pella and Craneship, Georgy Bedrik, Head of RS Business Development Department said at the International Conference “Advanced port fleet - the basis of safety” organized by IAA PortNews. 

He says that port fleet vessels are mainly built in Russia, China and Romania. 

According to RS representative, Craneship has built 11 tugboats, Damen – 16 boats including some boats that are under construction (over the last decade the company has built and reclassified over 60 ships), Pella - 45 ships.

Georgy Bedrik believes that the plans on the development of port infrastructure in Russia let us expect more orders for tugboats.
