The number of container trains dispatched from Ust-Luga Container Terminal to Moscow region is to be increased from 3 to 5 per week starting from 2016, the terminal owner Global Ports told IAA PortNews. The shipments are arranged by forwarding companies Logistic Operator and Avelana Forwarding.
ULCT started handling regular container trains in 2012. From that moment it has been developing its railway services.
As of today, ULCT and the Moscow region are linked by a regular railway service with a frequency of 3 trains per week.
The decision to increase the frequency was driven by a stable demand for railway transportation, the statement says.
