AEM-Technologies produced and dispatched Vityaz-M structures for SMM (photo)

Volgodon Branch of AEM-Technologies JSC (Atommash, subsidiary of Rosatom’s division Atomenergomash) has manufactured and dispatched over 300 t of metal structures for SMM’s Vityaz-M crane. According to the press center of Atomenergomash, the structures will be delivered to the customer’s site of operation by water transport.

Atommash has manufactured the largest components of the crane including the 58-meter long jib weighing some 80 tonnes.  The plant’s facilities are spacious enough to manufacture and assemble this sort of components to provide its customers with additional assembly opportunities. 

“AEM-Technologies is first company in Russia to manufacture crane components with such dimensions. We have signed an agreement on strategic partnership and today we produce two packages of metal structures for Vityaz crane of B.03 project. Negotiations are in progress on production of three more packages”, said Igor Kotov, Director General of AEM-Technologies JSC.

According to the statement, technical and logistic capabilities of the company allowed it to dispatch oversized product featuring the highest possible decree of completion. The structures were delivered to the company’s special berth and loaded onto a barge for further transportation to the customer’s site.

Volgodon Branch of the company is experienced in such operations. From 2007, the plant has manufactured  over 10 different harbor cranes for SMM CJSC alone. All in all, the plant produced and supplied some 20 cranes for domestic companies. The customer’s representatives have frequently marked high quality of the company’s products and the advantage of having their products assembled at the plant’s facilities.
