Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports up 1.7% to 107 mln t in 9M’15

In January-September 2015, seaports of Ukraine handled 107 mln t of cargo (+1.7%), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 75,157,000 t (-1.8%, year-on-year), import – 13,448,000 t (+21.1%, year-on-year), transit – 12,810,000 t (-20.8%, year-on-year), coastal trade cargo – 5,609,000 t (+277%, year-on-year).

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 356,704 TEUs (70.3% of the previous year result).

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 37,351,000 (35% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled  69,672,000 t (65% of total volume) including 37,127,000 t  handled via USPA berths (35% of total volume).
