Cargo transportation within Azov-Don River Basin down 36.2% to 7.028 mln t
As of October 1, 2015, cargo transportation within the area of responsibility of FSI Azov-Don Basin Authority totaled 7.028 mln t (-36.2%, year-on-year), the Authority told IAA PortNews.
Transportation of heavy fuel oil fell 12.5% to 2,494,000 t, sulphur – 26.5% to 994,000, diesel fuel – 18.6% to 781,000 t, vacuum gasoil - 3.2 times to 769,000 t, crashed stone – 2.4 times to 328,000 t.
Total turnover of vessels - 5,227 (-16.6%, year-on-year).
In September, cargo transportation within the Azov-Don River Basin fell 38.4%, year-on-year, to 1.056 mln t including 350,000 t of heavy fuel oil (-24.2%), 152,000 t of sulphur (-22.1%), 139,000 t of vacuum gasoil (down 2.2 times) and 117,000 t of diesel fuel (-17.6%).
In the reported period, transit fell 36.3% to 908,000 t, internal turnover dropped by a half to 148,000 t.
Total turnover of vessels in September – 1,018 units including 468 units going down the river and 550 units – up the river (against 871 units a year ago: 452/419 accordingly).
Total length of waterways within the area of responsibility of FSI Azov-Don Basin Authority is 691.3 km.
