In January-September 2015, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 2,153,200 t of cargo (-12.2%, year-on-year), the stevedoring company says.
In the reported period, transshipment of ferrous metal climbed by 1.5% to 801,700 t, coal and coke – down 54.4% to 173,800 t, oil product – down 14.8% to 104,100 t, scrap metal – down 7.5% to 95,600 t.
The port’s container throughput fell by a half to 56,268 TEUs.
Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2014, the port’s throughput totaled 3.357 mln t.
